This is a commitment that is part of the company's goal: net zero carbon emissions throughout the supply chain, products and operations by 2039.

To achieve these goals, the British Group has invited its worldwide network of suppliers to commit to achieving sustainability goals; approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. In particular, & egrave; Tier 1 suppliers were asked to set their decarbonization path, transparently report and demonstrate progress towards their goals.

The British Group's decarbonisation path passes also through the electrification project of its range of cars. In this regard, & egrave; it has been communicated that the Halewood plant will be; converted to produce electric cars only.

There have been rumors of this possibility for some time; and, now, & egrave; official confirmation arrived. This factory will thus play a leading role in the British Group's Reimagine strategy. Recall that Jaguar will become & agrave; an electric-only brand starting from 2025. For Land Rover, on the other hand, it will take a few more years; to get to offer exclusively battery-powered vehicles.
