  • Hands-on AirPods Pro 2022 at TechCrunch

TechCrunch calls the AirPods Pro 2022 a welcome update. They call the AirPods Pro 2022 significantly more comfortable than the regular AirPods (although that will also vary from person to person, because not everyone likes in-ears. Although this second generation is not a necessary upgrade for users of the first AirPods Pro, the update ensures according to the reviewer, they remain the best earplugs available. For the reviewer, the sound is a lot better. He is impressed with the renewed noise cancellation, although you always hear something of the environment. < h3>The Verge review of AirPods Pro 2022

The Verge lists four main benefits: the better noise cancellation, the new volume control by swiping, the improved sound quality and the built-in speaker and U1 chip in the case. About the sound, The Verge writes that it sounds better than before, but that it is not the very best compared to other earbuds. He is enthusiastic about the volume control and thinks it should have been on the AirPods Pro forever. With each swipe, the volume goes up a little bit and you hear a sound when it is completely full or when the volume is completely turned off. It did not happen during testing that you accidentally pause or fast forward a song.

    CNET goes hands-on

CNET praises the new microphones, the included smaller ear tips and the significant improvement in sound. They do find it a pity that the design has remained almost the same, although they do understand Apple's choice. The earbuds fit exactly the same as the previous generation, so you don't have to get used to a new design. The adaptive transparency mode is recommended when making phone calls, because then you are not inclined to speak very loudly and you can still hear your surroundings well. All in all, the earphones are not perfect, but they do feel a lot improved compared to the previous generation, partly due to the extra functions.

    Review of Engadget< /h3>

Engadget gives the AirPods Pro 2 one of the highest marks, but is also critical of certain features. For example, they find the improved battery life average, although you can get through the entire working day with it. When using the new swipe gesture to adjust the volume, Engadget does note that you can't just swipe the stick. The AirPod Pro would fall out of your ears in that case. You have to hold the stick with your thumb. The U1 chip in the case makes it easier to find it, although it is a pity that Engadget does not share whether it really works better.
