NEW ELECTRIC SUV

As mentioned at the beginning, the Skoda Vision 7S concept car anticipates the contents of an electric SUV that will debut; by 2026. The concept is based on the MEB platform of the Volkswagen Group, already; today used on many other electric cars of the Group such as the Skoda Enyaq iV. The design looks more fresh and modern compared to that of current Skoda models.

The new design of the front is; been called Tech-Deck and features a reinterpretation of the current Skoda grille. The optical groups with a very thin design form a sort of & quot; T & quot ;. The concept also brings the new Skoda logo to its debut. The front bumper, on the other hand, features seven vertical air intakes, with the central one having an insert in an orange color. Air intakes that are also located in the rear.

Skoda has worked a lot on aerodynamics to improve the efficiency of the car with the aim of reducing consumption and thus increasing the range. For example, instead of the classic side mirrors, we find cameras. In addition, the 22-inch wheels feature an aerodynamic design.

Very particular the interiors of which Skoda already had; given a preview through a series of teasers. Obviously, the carmaker has paid close attention to using only sustainable materials for the interior. Therefore, we find recycled materials and there are no animal-derived leathers.

The passenger compartment can & ograve; be configured in two modes: Driving and Relaxing . In the first, focused on driving, the controls are in the ideal position and the central 14.6-inch screen is; vertically aligned to display all the most important information important while driving.

The second, on the other hand, is; designed for moments of rest. By choosing it, the 8.8-inch steering wheel and instrument cluster move backwards to increase the available space. In addition, the first and second row seats retract to an even further position; relaxed. The central screen rotates horizontally to allow occupants to better see the content dedicated to entertainment.

LONG AUTONOMY

Skoda did not provide many technical specifications of the new concept car. In addition to using the MEB platform, we know that the powertrain will be; powered by an 89 kWh battery that will be; able to offer a range of up to 600 km . In direct current, the accumulator will be able to recharge up to a power of 200 kW. No information on power and performance.

What will remain; of the concept in the production model? Apparently “a lot” even if some details will be more & ugrave; traditional. For example, the doors will open in a classic way. The rear doors of the concept, in fact, open against the wind.
