JBL has introduced a new wireless in-ear headphone and a new wireless headphone with the Tour Pro 2 and Tour One M2. The Tour Pro 2 has an interesting innovation to offer, as the charging case is equipped with a touchscreen, which can be used to operate the headphones on the go.
1.45 inch display for operation
Called the Smart Case, the charging case features a 1.45-inch LED touchscreen that not only controls the music, but also adjusts the earbuds and displays calls, messages, and notifications. An alarm clock and a timer can also be set via the charging case. Instead of using their smartphone or the JBL Headphones app, wearers can access the charging case more quickly for these functions.
ANC and spatial audio
In addition, the JBL Tour Pro 2 offer adaptive, active noise cancellation, which can be adjusted to your preferences via the app, and a transparency mode. Six microphones are available for ANC, transparency mode and telephony. Spatial sound, in which the position of the sound adjusts relative to the orientation of the head to the smartphone or tablet, is also provided.

Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio
The JBL Tour Pro 2, which will also support LE Audio, already uses Bluetooth 5.3 for the wireless connection. The dynamic audio drivers have a diameter of 10 mm. JBL states the battery life as up to 40 hours, which results in 10 hours of music playback via the earphones and a further 30 hours in connection with the smart case.
Starting in 2023
However, it will be some time before you can actually use the JBL Tour Pro 2 with the new charging case. Because JBL does not mention availability until January 2023. But the company has already announced the recommended retail price: the JBL Tour Pro 2 should cost 249 euros. They will be available in black and champagne.
Also JBL Tour One M2 with BT 5.3 and LE Audio
The JBL Tour One M2 will also come with Bluetooth 5.3, LE Audio, Spatial Sound and hybrid ANC and transparency mode, each of which can be adjusted. With Smart Talk, JBL introduces a feature that automatically pauses music playback and activates transparency mode when the headphone wearer begins to speak. Such a function is already known from the Sony WH-1000XM5 (test). In addition to leather ear pads, according to JBL, it offers an optimized position of the microphones to better eliminate wind noise. However, this too will only start in January 2023 in the colors black and champagne for 299 euros.
