The memory manufacturer G.Skill is said to be working on a low-latency DDR5 memory kit from the Trident Z5 series with 6,000 MT/s and a CAS latency of 30 clock cycles AMD EXPO, the counterpart to Intel XMP 3.0, should be optimized in particular for the new desktop processors of the Ryzen 7000 (“Raphael”) series.

As the Wccftech site claims to have learned from its own sources, G.Skill is preparing the first specifically for DDR5 memory kits tailored for the new AM5 platform, which are to be characterized in particular by sharp timings and low latencies. According to the website, the manufacturer is planning a new low-latency kit with the following specifications:

G.Skill Trident Z5

  • F5-6000J3038F16G
  • 2× 16 GB DDR5-6000
  • Latencies of 30-38-38-96
  • Command Rate (CR) of 2 clock cycles (2T)
  • Supply voltage of 1.35 to 1.45 volts
  • Support for AMD EXPO and AMD RAMP

In addition, a ” A “softer” memory kit with DDR5-6000 and latencies of 30-40-40-96 clock cycles is being planned, which is to be offered at a lower price point.

DDR5-6000 with synchronous FCLK and MCLK should be optimal

In the last few days, the The rumor mill announced an optimal DDR5 speed of 6,000 MT/s, which in the case of AMD Ryzen 7000 is operated with a fabric clock, the so-called FCLK, of 3,000 MHz and thus 1:1 synchronously with the memory clock, the so-called MCLK can.

AMD Ryzen 7000 release imminent

If these rumors are true, the official AMD Ryzen 7000 launch on August 30th, the first independent tests published on August 13th September are expected and the release of the new Zen 4 CPUs must be shown on September 15.
