Product photo to vouch for the authenticity of the prices
As VideoCardz reports, the website has received initial information on the pricing of the new desktop processors from the Ryzen 7000 series, whose claim to authenticity is given even more weight by a product photo showing the official retail packaging of an upcoming Ryzen 9 79xx .
Since this is explicitly Ryzen 9 cardboard, it is possible that Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 5 and later also Ryzen 3 will receive different packaging.
799 euros+, 549 euros+, 449 euros+ and 299 euros
In the information cited by VideoCardz it says then regarding the prices:
- Ryzen 7 7700X MSRP = Ryzen 7 5700X MSRP
- Ryzen 7 7800X MSRP > Ryzen 7 5800X MSRP
- Ryzen 9 7xy0X MSRP > Ryzen 9 5xy0X MSRP
The website states 799 euros+ for the Ryzen 9 7950X, 549 euros+ for the Ryzen 9 7900X, 449 euros for the Ryzen 7 7800X, which is expected to appear later, and exactly 299 euros for the Ryzen 7 7700X. For the Ryzen 5 7600X, which will be the cheapest of the CPUs at the time of release and thus represent the entry into the AM5 platform with DDR5 and partly PCIe 5.0, no prices have been leaked yet.
X670 and X670E spearheads in focus
AMD and its five partners Asus, ASRock, Biostar, Gigabyte and MSI had already presented the absolute spearheads of their portfolio of motherboards with socket AM5 and the X670 and X670E chipset on August 4th. The presentation on August 30th is to be followed by the first tests on September 13th and the release on September 15th.
A table summarizes the current status of the rumours, the truthfulness of which is now being consolidated by numerous sources:
Since AMD has not yet given any official information on the individual technical specifications of the Ryzen 7000 CPUs, the rumors should still be treated with caution.
