Although the future Kia EV9 electric SUV is primarily designed for the American market, in 2023 it will be; also proposed in Europe. We are talking about the production version of the concept that the Korean car manufacturer had unveiled at the Los Angeles Motor Show in November 2021. It is a large SUV that will be; able to accommodate up to 7 people. And precisely this new car & egrave; was immortalized during a test session on the Nurburgring circuit .
The interesting aspect of the spy photos & egrave; the presence of a lower level of camouflage than in the past and this allows you to better observe some aspects of the vehicle's design.

Looking closely at the spy photos you can see some curious details such as the Recaro seats and the presence of what appears to be a roll cage. In any case, the overall shapes appear to be very similar to those of the concept. In this regard, we recall that the concept measured 4,930 mm length x 2,055 mm width x 1,790 mm height, with a wheelbase of 3,100 mm.
Spy photos also let you see how the doors open in the traditional way. The concept, in fact, had the rear doors that opened against the wind. The prototype featured in the photos also features 21-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
The images do not show the cockpit. However, you can & ograve; imagine that for the EV9 Kia adopts a solution very similar to that present on the EV6. The new SUV pogger & agrave; on the well-known E-GMP platform of the Hyundai Group which supports an 800 V architecture. This means that it will be; possible to recharge at high power.
The car manufacturer had not provided particular details on the powertrain and had limited itself to saying that the SUV will be able to count on a distance up to about 480 km with a full load of energy.
