Pecco Bagnaia with his Ducati wins the MotoGP Grand Prix of Great Britain. For Italian it & egrave; treated of the second consecutive affirmation after that of Assen. A victory that was not easy given that the Italian driver had to face several problems. In fact, in qualifying he did not give the feeling of having the right pace and in the first phase of the race, he struggled to find the rhythm.

Until the fifth lap, & egrave; it was the poleman Zarco who set the pace. Then, however, a fall cut her off. The first position is; then passed into the hands of Alex Rins. For Bagnaia, the turning point is; started about halfway through race when he overtook his teammate Jack Miller. At that point, the Italian driver & egrave; managed to & quot; change gear & quot; reaching the Suzuki rider and then overtaking him at 9 laps from the end.

For Bagnaia it seemed almost done as Rins couldn't keep up with his pace. However, Bagnaia hadn't come to terms with a wild Maverick Vinales who, in the saddle of his Aprilia, tried, in the end, to take the victory home. In the last laps there is it was a nice confrontation but in the final session, the Italian & # 39; egrave; managed to stretch slightly, securing the final result.

For the Ducati rider it & egrave; treated of a very heavy victory also from a world perspective since Fabio Quartararo is not; went beyond the eighth position. Therefore, the gap in the standings is; dropped to 49 points. A gap still important but not insurmountable given that in the last few races, Bagnaia & egrave; managed to recover several points.

Also worth underlining was Aleix Espargaro's ninth place . Apparently a disappointing result, but the rider faced the race after a very bad crash in qualifying that had left him sore. For him, a stoic race and above all a single point lost in the world rankings.

Now, the world championship moves to Austria where it will compete; August 21.
