The current Audi RS 6 Avant is expected to remain on the market until the end of 2025 when it arrives. the new generation. Although there are still several years to go, things are already happening; starting to talk about the new generation, especially in light of the electrification plans of the house with the 4 rings. Apparently, the future sport will characterize & agrave; due to the presence of a Plug-in hybrid powertrain . Stephan Reil, former head of Audi Sport and current head of Audi's R & amp; D division, in an interview with Wheels, talking about the first 20 years of the history of the RS 6, made it clear that the sports will dispose; of a powertrain equipped with this hybrid technology.

We must go down the path of electrification and the next generation of RS 6 Avant will be; even more; hybrid of the current one. The road to 100% electric is; already marked.

Recall that the current 4-liter twin-turbo V8 has a mild hybrid system. The next generation, therefore, will be characterized & agrave; for a higher level of electrification and therefore will be; Plug-in. Unfortunately, at the moment we do not know the specifics of the powertrain that will characterize; the next generation of the RS 6 Avant. There could always be a V8 paired with an electric motor or something different. This generation, however, will be; the last one equipped with an internal combustion engine.

The one after, in fact, will be & agrave; 100% electric . As we know, the German brand's ambitious electrification plans foresee that only battery-powered models will be launched on the market from 2026. Thanks to Stephan Reil we can therefore have a first preview of the future RS 6 Avant.

At the debut, however, there is still a lot of time left and surely there will be; way to know more.
