With the Smart Video Doorbell, Reolink is also launching a video doorbell. The product, which according to the company is in demand by many interested parties, is offered in both a WLAN and PoE version and always requires wired installation, for which the existing bell wire with 8 to 24 volts is sufficient.

2K+ video, IR and two-way audio

The wireless version, which can be powered by the existing power supply from the old doorbell system, supports both 2.4 and 5 GHz wireless networks – most wireless video doorbells only support 2.4 GHz networks. The Reolink Smart Video Doorbell also offers 5-megapixel 2K+ video, people detection, supports activity zones to selectively block areas in the field of view from detection, and has night vision with infrared LEDs. In addition, the two-way audio function can be used to talk to people in front of the door via smartphone.

The field of view of the lens covers 140 degrees horizontally, 98 degrees vertically and 190 degrees diagonally.

Six seconds before the action are recorded

Thanks to the continuous power supply, the camera's recordings are supplemented by the preceding six seconds before the recognized action, as these are permanently stored in the video memory and are continuously overwritten. This gives you an insight into what's going on before the bell is activated.

Announce automatic answers

With the Reolink app, users can select predefined answers to have the video doorbell announce phrases such as “Leave the package outside”. On the other hand, automatic replies can also be set, which are always played when you are busy and cannot or do not want to react yourself.

Save recordings locally or in the cloud

Recordings from the Reolink Smart Video Doorbell can either be stored locally on the device on a microSD card or automatically uploaded to the Reolink Cloud, which has also recently been launched in Europe. Recordings can also be backed up on a Reolink NVR.

Smart home connection with Google and Amazon

Reolink supports connection to the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. You can use your voice to view the doorbell's live video on a Nest Hub, Chromecast, Echo Show, or Fire TV. While the Google Assistant will be supported at the start, video playback via an Amazon device will follow shortly.

Door chime included in delivery

Reolink also supplies an additional, wireless doorbell for the socket, which informs acoustically and optically about the ringing of the video doorbell. Other smart home devices that draw attention to the ringing apart from the smartphone are therefore not absolutely necessary. A mounting plate with a 15 degree tilt is also included to slightly adjust the mounting angle and orientation of the camera.
