The smart irrigation control is available in the third generation and is said to be more robust, elegant and quieter than its predecessor, for which the design and equipment have been completely revised. With Eve Aqua, garden irrigation can be activated via iPhone, Siri or an integrated button.
It is also possible to plan irrigation in the app, for example using schedules, so that you can do it when you're away to automate while on vacation. Eve Aqua then switches it on and off automatically, for which no connection to the Internet via a bridge is required. The device supports up to seven watering times and the user can see the estimated water consumption in the app.
New solenoid valve inside
On the outside, Eve Aqua has a new design with a matt black front. According to the manufacturer, a new solenoid valve is used on the inside, which is more durable and better protected against leaks and is also said to work even more quietly. For the connection to the tap, Eve Aqua also uses a connector with a metal thread in the new model. Eve Aqua is suitable for all common hose systems and multiple distributors such as those from Gardena or Kärcher.

Thread for internal communication
Eve Aqua uses Apple HomeKit and therefore requires an iPhone or iPad for commissioning and control. Eve Aqua is the third generation to be integrated into Eve Systems' portfolio of Thread-compatible smart home devices and thus fits into the Thread network. For control and monitoring on the go, a HomePod (mini) or Apple TV (4th generation or newer) is required as the control center in order to integrate Eve Aqua into the local IP network and establish a connection to the outside world.
Matter support via firmware update
With Thread, Eve Aqua is also prepared for the upcoming cross-manufacturer smart home standard, Matter. Eve products with Thread will receive a free firmware update so that they can be integrated into smart home systems such as Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant or Samsung SmartThings in addition to Apple HomeKit when Matter is available.
