Coolers and cases need to be more colourful: be quiet! adds RGB LEDs to three entry-level products from the “Pure” series. In addition, Light Wings fans and minor improvements are used in the new FX variants of Pure Loop 2, Pure Rock 2 and the midi tower Pure Base 500.

Mesh housing shines more brightly

As the basis of the Pure Base 500 FXchoose be quiet! the colorful version of the Pure Base 500 DX (test). Compared to the original version, these variants have been updated with a modernized I/O panel with USB-C connection and significantly more mesh surfaces. The FX also replaces the three non-illuminated Pure Wings 2 fans with 140mm frame width with three Light Wings PWM fans with a speed of 1700 rpm and one 140mm Light Wings with a maximum speed of 1500 rpm rpm The equipment is also supplemented by an ARGB PWM hub, which can be used to control the fans and the RGB LEDs on the front of the Pure Base.

Installed on the coolers are quiet! the “high-speed” versions of the fan series, which are said to achieve better performance than the slower models intended for use in cases thanks to two additional fan blades and a higher maximum speed on heat sinks.

In addition, the Pure Loop also comes with an ARGB PWM hub for LED and fan control. The hub can also control the pump, which means that for the first time its speed can also be determined via a PWM signal between 4,000 and 5,500 rpm.

At the same time, the recommended price increases from around 44 euros to 53 euros. Here, too, the trade has already corrected: The model is currently around 39 euros and thus around ten euros more than the black and silver standard models.
