Raijintek Paean Mini: Large mini body is a glass case

The Raijintek Paean Mini is a glass box case with windows on the front and side that channels air from bottom to top. With the Mini-Tower, Raijintek is not concerned with maximum miniaturization, which is usually a compromise, the focus is on assembling many large components at the same time.

The design of the Paean Mini strongly reminiscent of the Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic Mini (test). However, this is where the differences end, because Lian Li has given its case around 44 and thus almost 20 liters more volume, Raijintek packs more tightly.

Large only, not huge

Therefore, no large mainboards fit into the Paean Mini, but in addition to Mini-ITX boards, coolers and graphics cards of practically unlimited size. It must not exceed 330 millimeters, which is currently hardly possible. Only with Asus' GeForce RTX 3070 and 3080 with gigantic Noctua cooler (test) must be measured, whereby the cooler, not the length of the graphics card, becomes the critical point. Space creates a tidy layout.

The mainboard is placed directly on the right side wall, the power supply next to it. A 2.5″ drive fits in front of the power supply in an invisible place, a 3.5″ hard drive can be attached to the power supply cage. This has the character of an emergency solution, but it is also one: Hard drives of this size are only of minor relevance in the gaming segment thanks to the sharp drop in prices for fast flash memory.

In addition, the Paean Mini offers the option of placing a reservoir with a pump unit in front of the mainboard. Two 240 or 280 mm radiators fit on the bottom and top. Alternatively, two 120 or 140 mm fans can be installed there, which transport air from bottom to top. Another fan can also be retrofitted in the rear. In theory, the advantage of this airflow is on the front: it does not have to be opened with mesh to bring the temperature level to a sufficient level.

Three-digit price

The Paean Mini is currently sold for around 130 euros required. This puts the case on a par with other products in the SFF segment.
