Existing mainboards with the LGA 1700 socket will also support the CPUs from the Intel Raptor Lake family, which are expected for autumn. ASRock is already getting ready and has released BIOS updates for numerous 600 series motherboards, which can directly detect the upcoming CPUs so that the system can boot.
The following lists from the manufacturer are very long for the numerous mainboards with Z690, H670, B660 or H610 chipsets, which will now or shortly have a new BIOS for Intel Raptor Lake (Core 13000), the refresh for Intel Alder Lake (Core 12000).
Some links to upcoming (?) models do not lead to the goal, but to an overview page of ASRock.
Instructions for updating the BIOS
There are two ways to update the BIOS. The classic way is via the BIOS menu (instructions). Alternatively, there is the flashback method (instructions as PDF) via the USB port intended for this purpose. In both cases, the downloaded BIOS file must first be unpacked onto a USB stick formatted in the FAT32 file system.
