Hyundai has finally unveiled the new IONIQ 6 , its second electric model based on the E-GMP platform. We have talked a lot about this car over the last few months thanks to a series of spy photos and teasers. Now, & egrave; the time has finally come to find out more. Unfortunately, the Korean manufacturer has & egrave; limited to showing the design of his new car without giving particular details on the technical specifications.

COUP STYLE? 
The new IONIQ 6, as already & agrave; we know, comes from the Prophecy concept car. This new car & egrave; has been described as an & quot; Electrified Streamliner & quot ;, with clean and simple lines and extremely aerodynamic shapes. The profile from coup & eacute; and the careful aerodynamic study allowed the Korean technicians to obtain a Cx of just 0.21 . This attention to aerodynamics should translate into an improvement in efficiency and therefore in autonomy. These are details that we will discover when Hyundai shares; all the specifications of this car.
The design & egrave; certainly particular and the references to the Prophecy concept car are evident. Despite resting on the same platform as the IONIQ 5, Hyundai wanted to design a model with a character of its own. At a time when manufacturers tend to create models characterized by a & quot; family design & quot; & egrave; certainly a pleasant novelty. However, there are some points in common with the electric SUV starting from the optical groups composed of square pixels. This is a solution called Parametric Pixel which we will find on many other future electric models of the Korean brand.
IONIQ 6 shows an emotional convergence between functionality and aesthetics. The distinctive streamline design is; the result of close cooperation between engineers and designers, with an almost obsessive attention to detail and with customer values at the center. The images also show the presence of cameras instead of traditional mirrors . A choice always made for aerodynamic reasons. This technical solution will be; proposed as an option. The spoiler inspired by an elliptical wing with aerodynamic appendage, the light rear structure that recalls the tail of a boat and the side air intakes integrated into the rear bumper also stand out. The new IONIQ 6 will be; 4.86 meters long and will be able to count on 18 or 20-inch alloy wheels.
The use of the E-GMP platform designed specifically for electric cars allows us to offer a spacious interior . For this car, the Korean brand has chosen to use sustainable materials for the interior. On the technology side, we have a large panel that encloses the 12.3-inch display of the instrumentation and the 12.3-inch display of the infotainment. Although precise details have not been provided, the software platform should be the one used on the IONIQ 5 infotainment.
The cockpit can be used. also count on Dual Color Ambient Lighting that illuminates the interiors of IONIQ 6, allowing customers to choose between a spectrum of 64 colors and six dual-color themes.
NO INFORMATION ABOUT ENGINES 
As mentioned at the beginning, to have all the technical information wait a few more weeks. However you can & ograve; already imagine that it will be; proposed with the same powertrain present today on the IONIQ 5. Therefore, it will probably be & agrave; offered with one or two electric motors powered by a 77.4 kWh battery .
