Curiosity, the name of the CHN platform is; a reference to the companies involved in the project. The C refers to Changan, the letter H is; a reference to Huawei and the N at the CATL headquarters in Ningde.
THE PROJECT
According to reports from the Chinese press, the CHN platform is expected to integrate the technologies developed by Changan Auto, CATL and Huawei as regards the software. This new platform will allow & agrave; to create cars with a wheelbase up to 3,100 mm . May & agrave; be used for sedans, SUVs, MPVs and other types of vehicles. Future models based on this architecture may have one or two electric motors. Therefore, they will also have four-wheel drive.
The first model that will pogger & agrave; on this platform developed with Huawei will be & agrave; the SUV Coup & eacute; Avatr electric vehicle which was announced towards the end of 2021. We know, at the moment, that this car will have; of CATL's new cell-to-pack battery pack in two capacity variants; for an autonomy of 555 and 680 km according to the CLTC cycle.
This new electric car will be able to; rely on the assisted driving solutions and smart cockpit developed by Huawei. The manufacturer also promises extremely fast charging. We talk about the possibility; to recover 200 km of autonomy in 10 minutes.
