The design of the special liveries of the IDs. Buzz & egrave; the result of the collaboration between the Volkswagen designers and Lucasfilm. To achieve them we & egrave; inspired by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vade r, two iconic characters from the Star Wars saga. Doug Chaing , Lucasfilm VP and Executive Creative Director, commented on this project:

The opportunity to explore how Obi-Wan Kenobi and the Volkswagen brand could have come together in a vehicle & egrave; it was pure fun. The themes of good and evil, light and darkness they are not necessarily concepts that apply to cars. The collaboration offered an opportunity unique to make s & igrave; that the cars become the reflections of the two iconic characters of the saga.

In detail, the Volkswagen ID. Buzz Light Side Edition & egrave; based on the passenger version of the new electric. The color of the lower part is; beige, a reference to tonality of Obi-Wan Kenobi's shirt. The shiny chrome plating in the upper part is; a reference to the design of the spaceships and droids of the Star Wars universe. The blue line that runs through the car, on the other hand, symbolizes Obi-Wan Kenobi's lightsaber which is; of this color. The Rebel Alliance logos can be found on the side windows and on the rims.

Instead, the Volkswagen ID. Buzz Dark Side Edition & egrave; based on the Cargo version of the German electric. The shades of black and red are a call to the dark side of the Force. Some red details are a reference to Darth Vader's (red) lightsaber. This version is also characterized by the presence of the Empire logos on the bodywork and on the rims.
