With the eero Pro 6E, Amazon is now bringing the first tri-band mesh WLAN system with Wi-Fi 6E to Germany. The cheaper, new eero 6+ is also starting. In addition, the existing mesh WLAN systems, the eero Pro 6 and eero 6, will remain in stores and will be reduced in price.
6 GHz for eero Pro 6E
As a tri-band system, the eero Pro 6E uses a radio band with 2.4 GHz, one with 5 GHz and the new 6 GHz band. The cumulative data rate of the WLAN is 5,400 Mbit/s. With a 2×2 antenna configuration and support for 160 MHz wide radio channels, 600 Mbit/s are supported over 2.4 GHz, while a maximum of 2,400 Mbit/s is supported over 5 and 6 GHz. In addition to a 1 Gigabit LAN port, the system also has a LAN port that supports 2.5 Gbit/s. Both connections can be used as WAN or LAN.
Smart Home Hub with Thread, Zigbee and Bluetooth
The eero Pro 6E not only functions as a mesh WLAN system, but also as a smart home hub. In addition to Thread, it also supports Zigbee and Bluetooth 5.0. The eero Pro 6E can take on the role of border router in a Thread network, connecting the Thread network to the local area network and the Internet to control Thread-compatible devices from anywhere.
The router measures 142 × 138 × 51 mm and has no external antennas. Inside is a 1 GHz dual-core processor with 1024 MB RAM and 4 GB flash memory.

eero 6+ as a dual-band system
The eero 6+, also newly available in Germany, is a dual-band mesh WLAN system that uses Wi-Fi 6 but does without Wi-Fi 6E. It therefore offers the two well-known 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. The cumulative data rate is 3,000 Mbit/s. The smaller system also supports Thread, Zigbee and Bluetooth. However, it has to do without a 2.5 gigabit fast LAN connection, instead two 1 gigabit connections are offered.
A single router of the eero 6+ costs 149 euros , the set of 3 is available for 329 euros*.

The tri-band mesh system eero Pro 6 with Wi-Fi 6 will be available from 229 euros (RRP) in the future. The set of 3 costs 599 euros. Currently, however, both sets are already significantly cheaper. A single eero Pro 6 costs 172 euros, while the set of 3 costs 449 euros*.
The eero 6 dual-band system, on the other hand, will start in the future from 119 euros (RRP), the Set of 3 for 259 euros. Here, too, the prices at Amazon are currently below the new recommended retail price*.
