Although the Pixel Watch wasn't ready for the Google I/O, Google wanted to ride the wave of recent rumors and make the smartwatch official. Before the teaser on the clock, there was a preview for the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. Next year, Google also wants to offer its own Pixel Tablet, which was also shown.
First nothing, then everything at once

But in the last 25 minutes, the fireworks couldn't be big enough. Google officially introduced the Pixel 6a and the Pixel Buds Pro today.
Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro
The show continued with a surprise preview of the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro as well as the Pixel Watch. All three new Google devices were only presented in a rudimentary way, or rather teased. Google will save the right ideas until autumn, when the manufacturer's new smartphones can traditionally be expected.
In order to anticipate leaks in smartphones or to tie in with leaks in smartwatches, there was a preview of the innovations in both product classes. A page has already been set up in the Google Store for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
For both smartphones, Google is consistently continuing the design introduced with the Pixel 6 family and is focusing even more on the cameras within the rear bar instead of letting them sink into black. With the Pixel 7, which will again offer two cameras, and the Pixel 7 Pro with three cameras, where which cameras are located can be clearly and directly recognized by everyone at first glance.
Second generation tensor processor
In terms of hardware, Google will rely on the second generation of the Tensor processor. Google couldn't get more than this statement today, so details on the CPU and GPU cores, TPU, titanium chip, modem or production are still pending. According to the product page, both smartphones will run with the new Android 13 right from the start.
Pixel Watch will start in autumn
The Pixel Watch should be presented in parallel with the Pixel 7 family, said hardware boss Rick Osterloh at the keynote. The design shown corresponds to the previous leaks, the same applies to the bracelets. The Pixel Watch can also be found in the Google Store with initial information, including the use of a new Wear OS by Google, which will be equipped with the new Google Wallet, which should also receive Android 12 in the summer.
The company touts “many of your favorite Google apps like Maps, Assistant and Wallet right on your wrist” and emphasizes the integration of Fitbit features on the Pixel Watch. Fitbit was acquired by Google in 2019.
Pixel Tablet is coming in 2023
First for The Pixel Tablet is planned for 2023. A Tensor processor will also be used in Google's own tablet. With the Pixel Tablet, Google wants to offer the “most helpful tablet in the world”, said Osterloh.
