ENEA and ANSFISA (National Agency for the Safety of Railways and Road and Motorway Infrastructures) have decided to collaborate to make the transport sector more sustainable . More specifically, these two realities will carry on & quot; activities & agrave; of study, research and monitoring for the use of the Fuel Cell, LNG and bio-LNG in the railway, road and rapid mass transport sectors.
THE PROJECT
As part of this agreement, ENEA and ANSFISA will form a joint working group that will work; to deepen the use of new fuels in the railway and road sector ; to support the preparation of the technical and procedural regulations for the safety of railway transport with hydrogen-powered trains and to contribute to the development of new technologies.
In addition, work will be carried out; on how to reduce emissions from heavy road transport and on how to identify innovative systems capable of characterizing the existing road infrastructure and planning the construction of new interventions, to evaluate the adequacy of the main civil works such as bridges and tunnels, as well as & eacute; define safety regulations, standards and procedures.
ENEA and ANSFISA will also study mobility; electricity and, in particular, the management of electricity supply networks and static and dynamic recharging. Finally, it will be & agrave; also analyzed the impact of hydrogen refueling structures in the railway and road sector.
The general objective of the agreement is; that of putting skills and technologies into a system, as part of its activities; specialists, to help develop, implement and prepare the rules and authorizations necessary for the grounding of innovative and improving projects in the transport, energy and mobility sectors; sustainable, also related to the use of national and community funds, of the Next Generation EU and of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
