Beats Studio Buds in three new colors: blue, pink and gray

Beats Studio Buds in Blue, Pink and Gray

The price of these new Beats Studio Buds is identical to the first range of colors red, white and black: €149.95 in the Apple Store. In terms of technology, they are also exactly the same, because only the color is different. Beats has done something new with the charging boxes, because the interior of the boxes is slightly different. This is most noticeable with the pink variant, where the box is lilac on the inside. Apple has enlisted fashion model Kaia Gerber and Olympic freestyle skier Eileen Gu to provide additional publicity as well-known names. But actually they are selling themselves, because according to Beats this is the fastest selling product they have ever had in the range.

That popularity will partly be due to the fact that these earbuds are also very suitable for Android users. Along with these new colors, Beats is also announcing some improvements to the Beats app for Android. For example, from now on ‘Locate My Beats’ supported to find your earphones. There are also new widgets to see battery life and change your listening mode.

The Beats Studio Buds are earplugs that you insert directly into your ear, without a stem. They have Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and transparency mode. On the outside is a clickable button that allows you to control playback, activate Siri, take a phone call and the like. Activate with ‘Hé Siri's is also possible and you also have Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos. What's missing is the head tracking you find with some AirPods, which makes the music move with your head.

Beats Studio Buds also have Find My support, can be paired with the touch of a button, and have five microphones for calling. And to make sure it fits, there are five rubber eartips in the package. Charging is done via USB-C. Read our Beats Studio Buds review to learn more about its features and experiences.

All colors of the Studio Buds are available through Apple, but you will have to be patient for the new colors. In the US, each retailer will have a different color: Amazon will have gray, Best Buy will have blue and Target will have pink as an ‘exclusive’ color. This will probably not be the case in Europe and you will eventually be able to find all colors at the various retail chains. The colors red, black and white will remain available.

The manufacturer has now also released new earphones, the Beats Fit Pro. They have a suggested retail price of €229.95 and are slightly more expensive.
