Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi presented the new Alliance project focused on electrification and mobility through which the three brands plan to launch 35 new electric models on the market by 2030 . The Alliance points out that work will be carried out; always adopting the Leader-Follower scheme . In this way, all members of the Alliance will have access to all the technologies that will be developed. Thanks to this strategy, the three brands expect to have an 80% range based on common platforms by 2026.

Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi already have; invested over 10 billion euros in the field of electrification. In the main markets (Europe, Japan, United States and China) 15 Alliance plants already produce; parts, motors and batteries for ten electric models. The goal is to reduce battery costs by 50% in 2026 and 65% by 2028 through working with partners. With this approach, by 2030, the Alliance will have; a total of 220 GWh of capacity; of production of batteries for electric vehicles in the main production sites in the world.
