January 27, 2022– The first beta of iOS 15.4 is now available and has build number 19E5209h. If new features are discovered, we will update this article as soon as possible. Apple only mentions “bug fixes and improvements” in the changelog.

January 27, 2022– The latest beta of iPadOS 15.4 is also ready. We expect the same improvements as in the beta of iOS 15.4, supplemented with possibly some iPad-specific improvements. If more is clear, read it here.
iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4 beta download for developers and public testers
Developers can download the beta from Apple's developer website. There you will find the correct beta profile to install on your iPhone. There are usually two ways to install the update. You can download the correct beta profile and install the beta over-the-air or switch right away if you already have the profile. Another way is to download the so-called Restore Image and then put it on your iPhone via the Finder on the Mac or iTunes on Windows.
The public betas of iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4 are coming shortly after the developer beta available. Installing the iOS public beta does require you to have the correct beta profile and be signed up for Apple's beta program.
Note: These betas are only intended for developers and public testers and are not suitable for use on devices that you need every day.

About iOS 15.4
iOS 15.4 is the fourth major update since iOS 15 appeared. We expect that this will mainly contain functions that were postponed, supplemented with some bug fixes. For example, we are still waiting for Universal Control on the iPad and Apple will add support for digital driving licenses in the US. We will keep you informed of all notable new features and improvements. In the near future, we expect Apple to add even more small improvements during the beta period. You may also suffer from crashes or some apps may not yet work properly. So keep this in mind if you decide to test an iOS update.
