Apple didn't add many features to this update, but it's an important one to install. Unfortunately, there is still no sign of Universal Control. However, an annoying Safari bug has been fixed.
macOS 12.2 Monterey available
There are three important new changes to report. First of all, a bug in Safari 15 has been fixed for everyone. This allowed you to leak browser activity under certain circumstances. The leak came to light earlier this week.
Apple has also made two nice improvements. For example, there are improvements for music lovers. The Music app finally works fully natively on the Mac. Previously, the app partially loaded web content, but that should now work more smoothly.
Speaking of smooth, macOS Monterey 12.2 also adds something for owners of a 2021 14- or 16-inch MacBook Pro. browser you can now scroll extra smoothly, because Safari has received ProMotion support. Since Safari is the app they use most often for many people, this will be a welcome addition for many.
Download macOS Monterey 12.2
You are downloading macOS Monterey 12.2 through the System Preferences, just like with iOS. To download this update, do the following:
- Go to System Preferences.
- Click Software Update.
- The Mac will now automatically search for the latest version. Click Download and Install to download the update.
