Abroad. An Afghan who was evacuated by the United States during the Taliban takeover has now been convicted of sexually assaulting a three-year-old girl. The Afghan defends himself by saying that the behavior is normal in his culture, reports RT.

Mohamed Tariq, 24, was evacuated from Kabul by American soldiers in August – and flew to the United States.
He was one of the many Afghans transported out of the country by American transport aircraft for to get away from the Taliban.
Shortly after landing in the United States, Mohamed Tariq sexually assaulted a three-year-old Afghan girl. This was already happening while he was in the concentration camp for so-called refugees.
Several American marines at the military base where he was then witnessed how Mohamed Tariq repeatedly pawed at it little girl over her clothes, on her breasts, directly on her abdomen and on her buttocks.
When the soldiers wanted to know what he was doing, Mohamed stated that he had not done anything wrong at all according to Afghan culture. <./p>
The three-year-old girl lived in the concentration camp with her parents, but the family did not know Mohamed before and had no relationship with him.
Mohammed Tariq was found guilty of sexual abuse of the girl on Friday. The sentence will be handed down in April, and the Afghan risks up to life in prison.
