We hardly watch traditional TV anymore. Streaming video services like Apple TV+ (try for free), Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video are more important than ever. But local providers such as Videoland, Film1 and Ziggo also have plenty to offer. More series are added every week and it is nice if you know which series, films and documentaries really stand out. We have therefore made a selection.

New on Apple TV+: Servant (S03)

We are already ready for the third season of this series, in which a traumatized woman hires a babysitter. But for what exactly? Set in Philadelphia, this psychological thriller was created by M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense). From January 21, there will be new episodes every week.

Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock

The Jim Henderson Company has delivered another TV series centered on the Fraggles. The cave-dwelling dolls were invented quite some time ago, but still fun. The series sees well-known stars such as Cynthia Erivo, Daveed Diggs, Ed Helms, Kenan Thompson and The Foo Fighters appear as guests. There are 13 episodes all appearing simultaneously. There is also said to be a Fraggle movie in the works, but that project has been cancelled.

Family Guy (S19)

The 19th season of Family Guy is now available on Disney+. The animated series about a dysfunctional family in the fictional town of Quahog appeals to many people. Family Guy has become one of the most popular adult animated series in recent years, both in America and around the world. The dark humor of the series is often criticized by social conservatives who reject the sexual, violent and racial humor. It was also often accused of plagiarizing The Simpsons in the early years, although spiritual father Matt Groening denied this.
