Abroad. Today, talks are being held in Geneva between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

The countries will discuss the draft treaties between the United States and Russia that Russia sent to the United States on December 15, 2021, the treaty between the Russian Federation and the United States on security guarantees and agreements on measures to ensure the security of the Russian Federation and The North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
During the meeting, ministers will evaluate the negotiations held by the countries' delegations in Geneva on 10 January and discussions within NATO and the OSCE in the following days.
The United States has written response with comments to each of the proposed articles in the Russian documents, writes the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs & shy; on its website.
Unofficially, the White House has in practice already rejected all Russian demands, but exactly how the discussions went has not been made public.
