On the night between 16 and 17 September 2020, a man was shot dead with five shots on Årstabron in Stockholm.

The 27-year-old victim was tricked into the scene in the belief that he would celebrate his friend Toj Kamrani's birthday.

Three men were charged with killing the man together. The district court now sentences all three for involvement in the murder.

Kevin Williams and Toj Kamraniav are sentenced for murder while Abdul Ghaffar is sentenced for inciting murder.

Williams is sentenced to fourteen years in prison because he was 20 years when the crime was committed. The other two receive life imprisonment.

The evidence in the case has largely consisted of chats from the encrypted communication service Anom. The district court has ruled that the chats, together with other evidence, reliably show how the murder was planned, prepared and carried out and which people were involved in the murder. The court has therefore concluded that there is no reasonable doubt that the trio participated in the murder in the way the prosecutors have claimed.

– The investigation shows that the murder was planned and prepared for a relatively long time. The criminal plan was also proposed in such a way that the victim was tricked into the murder scene, where he was shot to death with a total of five shots. In view of these circumstances, among other things, the punitive value of the act is imprisonment for life, says the court's chairman, councilor Daniel Eriksson, in a statement.
