Biden made the comment in June 2020 when he was still a presidential candidate, a few weeks after Floyd's death.

During the discussion, Biden talked about how smartphones have mobilized people around the world in a movement against police brutality.

– Not even the assassination of Dr. King took on the global significance of George Floyd's death, Biden said.

Biden's statement is now ridiculed by Americans of all skin tones.
