Mark McGowan is the Prime Minister of Western Australia, one of Australia's six states.
In a video message on Facebook, McGowan urges the state's Aborigines to get vaccinated.
McGowan speaks slowly and clearly in simple, almost primitive sentences.
– It's time to take the corona needle to keep people and country strong. The Corona needle will protect children, the elderly, men and women. Many people around the world have already taken the corona needle. It's free and secure, McGowan says, among other things.
His message is translated into kriol, a language spoken by parts of Australia's Aboriginal people.
