Apple recently released iOS 15.2, which includes several new features and improvements. However, some bugs have surfaced again, as Apple has now released the additional update iOS 15.2.1 and iPadOS 15.2.1. The update therefore contains no new features, but installing it is recommended. The new build number is 19C63, instead of 19C57 from iOS 15.2.

iOS 15.2.1 available

iOS 15.2.1 is a minor update in which Apple only fixes some problems and presumably improves security. Apple regularly releases these updates, separate from the larger updates that contain new features. Although there is nothing new, it is still important to download the latest update as soon as possible. This ensures that you are safe and that the latest security measures are on your device.

These are the release notes for iOS 15.2.1:

iOS 15.2.1 contains problem solutions for your iPhone including:

  • Photos sent via iCloud link may not load in Messages
  • Third party CarPlay apps may not respond to input

In addition Apple has confirmed that the HomeKit bug has been resolved byLock. This bug made your iPhone or iPhone unusable with very long device names.

This update fixes an issue in Messages that prevented a photo from being displayed when sent via an iCloud link. Also fixed a problem with CarPlay apps, where the apps do not respond when they are operated. Earlier we wrote about problems with CarPlay in iOS 15.2.

Apple will soon release iOS 15.3, in which some new functions are expected. Also read our article about the iOS 15.3 beta.

Note: keep the reactions on-topic, concrete and clear for others. Personal status updates as to whether your download has started/success does not add anything to the discussion. It may also take a little longer before the update is visible. You don't have to report this either. These comments will be deleted.
