HomePod mini to even more countries in 2022: Sweden, Russia, Switzerland?

Our discovery that the HomePod mini works in Dutch gives us good hope that the smart speaker will be available in a few months. That chance is only increasing now that Apple is working on even more languages. Siri on the HomePod mini has been tested in Sweden for at least two months, the website Macradion reports. Apple allegedly hired a third-party company to send specially prepared HomePod minis to specific individuals for testing. Macradion expects that the speaker will also be for sale in Sweden in the course of the year.

A total of at least four countries that appear to be planned for 2022: the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Russia and now Sweden.

In December 2021, the speaker received a software update with support for more languages. We soon found out that this also included Dutch. In concrete terms, it now concerns these languages, with associated countries:

The HomePod mini was released in October 2020 and is currently available in many countries. Within Europe these are Germany, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Austria and the United Kingdom. Outside Europe you can go to the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan and India The new colors yellow, orange and blue are only available for a short time, starting in November 2021.
