The best apps of week 1-2022 in App Missed

In the weekly App Missed section you can read which apps from the past week are worth checking out. We always discuss about five apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac. These could be apps that you may not have known about or that are useful or just fun to try. And that can also be veterans who have received a major update and therefore receive some extra attention.

iCulture App of the Week: Flatify Flatify is a useful app for households. You can divide tasks to keep things going. In the app you keep track of who does which task and you can also see who sticks to that assignment most often. There is also a shopping list that is synchronized with everyone. If you have incurred costs, you can put them in Flatify. With the chat function you keep everyone informed.

In addition to all these functions, you can also create a shared calendar. This is of course also possible in Apple's Calendar app, but in Flatify everything comes together. In the overview you can see which tasks are coming your way within 7 days. Some functions are paid, but the good order in the house is also worth something. It works with families, but also with student houses.

SKRWT

Do you remember SKRWT? This photography app hasn't been updated for almost 5 years, but it's finally back with a new design. This app can perform lens corrections to compensate for your perspective and lens settings. For example, you can straighten a photo of a tall building, while you were standing right in front of it. You can also apply effects for mirroring and SKRWT is packed with other lens effects. If you like creative photography, download this app.

GetEase

We've all heard of speed cameras by now, but GetEase takes a different approach. Instead of groceries, you can have all kinds of services at home via this app “delivery”. You can have a hairdresser, sports teacher, nail specialist, masseur and many more people come to your home (or office). That's not in 15 minutes like with grocery shopping, but you can schedule a time slot instead. Currently, the service only works in Amsterdam, but GetEase promises to expand soon.

ToDon’t

Since December, you can create and publish your own app on your iPad with Apple's Swift Playgrounds 4 app. One of the first apps developed in this way is ToDon't. This to-do list shows the things you don't have to do. You can cross those off and then it turns out that it is not so bad how much you still have to do. The tasks are created randomly, so you don't have to add unnecessary tasks yourself. ToDon’t has a comedic approach, but can be quite good to actually use.

Mockview

If we often encounter one thing at iCulture, it is an ugly mockup. That is an image of an iPhone or other device with a screenshot in it. Often the proportions are incorrect or the correct product has not been used to display a screenshot. With Mockview, that should be easy. This app has all kinds of (recent) Apple products built in with which you can make a beautiful 3D or 2D mock-up in no time. You choose the color of the device yourself and you can choose all kinds of beautiful backgrounds. Mockview is also completely free, so from now on we want to see all beautiful mockups on the internet!
