The formation, which consisted of 700 sheep and some goats, became 100 meters long and was filmed with a drone.
The initiator, German Hanspeter Etzold works with the sheep as an organizer of team building events in Andernach in western Germany. He tells the news agency Reuters that he got the idea for the sheep syringe during such an event.
– The group led the sheep, and the lambs ended up at the back. We needed to take care of them a little extra, because of course they could not keep up at the same pace. Then I got the idea that it is the same with us humans. As a majority, we need to make sure that the weakest do not fall behind, says Hanspeter Etzold according to SVT.
