In 2021, in fact, 65% of the four wheels registered are electric , translated into numbers mean about 114 thousand units & agrave; with the only & quot; electron propulsion & quot; sold in 12 months.
An absolute record in relation to the population (around 5.38 million people live in the Scandinavian country). To give you an idea of the scale just look at the Italian numbers which see the electric ones alone at 4.6% of 2021 sales with 67,542 units. Therefore a little more; of the half & agrave; compared to Norwegians, despite the population of the Bel Paese is over 10 times greater.
Useless comparisons given the different socio-economic conditions, so much so that in Norway it is; it was Tesla that earned the first place among manufacturers with 11.6% market share and the Model 3 absolute queen . To push sales in Norway the generous tax breaks, so much so that the estimates speak of electric sales still on the rise during 2022, a year in which their percentage of sales could even touch 80%. In 2020, to give an idea of the progression, the electric ones amounted to 54% of the total.
Curious to note the now small numbers of thermals, practically reduced to the bone with only 4% of gasoline cars and 4% of diesel cars sold in this country in 2021. At the same time as electric cars, but with a much greater progression; sweet, there are in fact the Plug-in hybrids (22%), the only segment that grew last year at the expense of the rest of the hybrids, now at 6% compared to 9% in 2020.

Norway & egrave; thanks to these numbers, it has become a conquest ground for emerging and established brands. All electric car manufacturers want to be present and offer their models, even the Chinese houses that still export very little outside their country, the first market in the world for electric cars.
It will not be; however, always a paradise for lovers of the genre, the incentives have in fact cost almost 3 billion euros to the state coffers and, to reduce their impact, the government is thinking of introducing a new tax & quot; luxury & quot; on cars (including electric ones) that exceed 60 thousand euros.
