Domestic. Region Norrbotten's new ambulance helicopter cannot take off when there is snowfall or when the temperature is below five plus degrees. Instead, the S-ruled region relies on Norway and Finland in the event of a crisis, reports SVT.

– We must save lives without risking lives. We have therefore decided that our ambulance helicopters should not fly when there is snowfall or snow smoke, or when the temperature is below five degrees and there is high humidity, such as mist or fog, says Henrik Johansson at the Swedish Air Ambulance, who flies the helicopters on behalf of the region, in a press release.

Region Norrbotten's operations manager for the ambulance helicopters tells SVT that there is a collaboration agreement with other ambulance helicopter bases and with Finland and Norway if there are problems.

Airbus will now return about what measures are required for the helicopters to be able to fly as normal again.

– Unfortunately, we can not say when this will be resolved, says Henrik Johansson to SVT.
