Media. Swedish Radio has decided to cancel the controversial P3 Gold Gala at Radiohuset in Stockholm in January. This with reference to “the changing corona situation in society”.

The situation means that Swedish Radio assesses that the gala can not be held on site at Radiohuset “without risking the daily activities”.
– It feels very sad to have to take this decision, we really wanted to celebrate the 20th anniversary in January at home in our own house for the first time. But at the moment we have to handle events and visits, both internally and externally with the utmost care to ensure the daily activities inside the Radio House, says Pia Kalischer, responsible for Swedish Radio's event activities, in a press release.
P3 Guld The gala has recently been criticized for handing out fine prizes to serious criminal gangster rappers like “Yasin”.
– We will now try to re-plan P3 Gold's 20th anniversary at a time later. We have had to reschedule events before and I am convinced that we will find a way to move forward. Exactly when and where it will be, we ask to come back with, says Pia Kalischer
