‘People don't want to wait for an iPhone 13’

Apple would have told suppliers this, Bloomberg claims. Apple is currently only able to make a limited number of iPhone 13 models due to a shortage of parts. Once inventories are back to normal, Apple doesn't think people will flock to the store. People would become despondent because some models are hard to get or have a long wait. Instead, they are postponing their purchase to next year, with the result that there will be no traditional sales peak in December.

Initially, Apple thought that people would be enthusiastic about an iPhone 13, once it became available. device is widely available again. But now Apple would have come to a different insight, according to anonymous sources from Bloomberg. Apple had to cut iPhone 13 production by 10 million units due to a lack of parts due to global chip shortages.

Incidentally, those shortages do not really play a role when you look at the iPhone 13 delivery times. You can pick up a midnight black 128GB iPhone 13 today at the Dutch Apple Stores or have it delivered at home tomorrow. And a black 128GB iPhone 13 Pro is still waiting for you today and will be delivered before Christmas. The waiting time is now approximately one to two weeks.
