Opel debuted the Sports Tourer version of the new Astra. The station wagon variant will be; marketed since the beginning also with Plug-in powertrains. For the moment, availability; and prices for the Italian market have not yet been disclosed. Let's see, now, the main details of this new model.
DESIGN AND INTERIORS 
New Opel Astra Sports Tourer measures 4.64 m length x 1.86 m width x 1.48 meters height, with a wheelbase of 2.73 m (+ 5.7 cm compared to the new Astra five-door). The interior of the Sports Tourer is substantially identical to that of the 5-door model. Therefore, we find the new & quot; Pure Panel & quot ;, a large panel inside which there are the 10-inch displays of the instrumentation and infotaiment. The interior design is very clean, with physical controls reduced to essentials.
To improve comfort, the car features AGR certified front seats. In the nappa leather version, the driver's seat is; also equipped with ventilation and massage function.
MOTORS AND SAFETY 
At its debut, the new Opel Astra Sports Tourer will be; also available with petrol and diesel engines just like the 5-door model. We therefore have the 110 bhp (81 kW) or 130 bhp (96 kW) 3-cylinder 1.2 turbo petrol engine and the 130 bhp (96 kW) 4-cylinder 1.5 diesel engine. Two Plug-in models. The powertrains are capable of delivering 132 kW (180 hp) and 162 kW (225 hp). No mention of battery and autonomy in electric only.
In any case, there should be a 12.4 kWh accumulator capable of offering a range of about 50-60 km. Speaking of safety, the car can have the Intelli-Drive 2.0 , an assisted driving system that also adapts the speed; cornering and performs semi-automatic lane changes.
