Domestic. The European Medicines Agency (EMA) has just approved corona vaccination for children up to the age of five. The Swedish Public Health Agency is now investigating whether such child vaccination should be introduced in Sweden.

– We look at it continuously, says Sara Byfors, unit manager at the Swedish Public Health Agency, to Läkartidningen.
According to her, it is about doing a so-called risk and benefit assessment.
– What is the benefit of vaccinating a 6-year-old against covid-19, compared to the risk of side effects? We have an ongoing dialogue with the Medical Ethics Council and the Pediatric Association about this. We will make a recommendation but we do not see any urgency, Sara Byfors continues.
