Journalist and left-wing activist Sebastian Leber was at the end of last week at the border between Croatia and Bosnia.

There he did – as he and his newspaper claim – “research” about “refugees” who were in the area.

Third world immigrants at the border there are trying to enter the EU country Croatia in order to then be able to seek asylum in subsidy countries such as Sweden and Germany.

< Leber was arrested by Croatian police on suspicion of human trafficking and for crossing the border illegally. This provoked outcry from the German media industry, which demanded that the left-wing journalist be released immediately.

After the pressure, Sebastian Leber was set free. He had then been detained for 24 hours. He eventually got away with paying a fine of 300 euros, Leber writes in his heartbreaking report about the incident. In the article, he complains that “right-wing extremists” have drawn attention to the arrest.

Leber also states that Croatian police threatened him with eight years in prison.
