Flitsmeister is a popular free app that warns you about speed cameras, traffic jams, accidents and more. For years there has also been a pro version, with which you can disable the ads and upload your own photo in the dashboard. With the new version 10 of Flitsmeister, many more new functions for paying users have been added. Flitsmeister PRO now also has a new Focus Mode, which allows you to drive without distraction and Flitsmeister helps you fight a fine.
Flitsmeister PRO in version 10: this is new
The new Focus Mode in Flitsmeister offers a customized view while driving. Instead of the For You or Traffic screen or showing the map, Focus Mode only shows the most important things with large icons and extra large buttons. You see your current speed, but also the maximum speed on a large screen. If a route is active, you will also see the navigation instructions at the top of the screen. When a flash is nearby, it will also appear on the screen.
By tapping the screen during Focus Mode, you can start navigation to the set home or work address. Finally, you can also use the report function during Focus Mode. You can activate the Focus Mode by tapping your own or maximum speed in the app, but you can also indicate that this is done automatically in the settings.
Another new feature of the updated Flitsmeister PRO is help with fines. In collaboration with Appjection, you will find an option in the menu to take a photo of your fine, after which the most important data will be filled in automatically. You then answer a few short questions and the rest is handled by Flitsmeister.
A third function is that through the flash history you can see where a recent check was made. This also comes in handy if you're not sure whether you've driven past a speed camera. You can see where they checked and when. The flash history is available for all countries in which Flitsmeister is active.
Finally, you can use the app as further personalize pro user. There are 24 app icons to choose from and 21 different vehicles that are shown on the map as you navigate. These are purely cosmetic changes that have no further influence on the operation of the app. As before, Flitsmeister PRO is also ad-free in the new version.
New price for Flitsmeister PRO
Flitsmeister PRO used to cost €8.99 per year. Flitsmeister also finds the new features worth a higher price tag, which is why Flitsmeister PRO now costs $1.49 per month, with a 7-day free trial. With the new subscription you will lose €17.88; a doubling of the old subscription. Existing pro users will be automatically transferred to the new Flitsmeister PRO at the new rate as soon as their membership ends.
