Domestic. DN omitted important information and misled its readers in the article “The family is deported after 20 years of work and school in Sweden”, shows a review that journalist Anna Dahlberg has done on Expressen's editorial page.

In the article, DN recounts the content of a verdict, in which a family is deported, by incorrectly claiming that the father in the family had been denied an extended work permit due to an “administrative mistake”.

In fact, the Administrative Court in Luleå rejected the application for an extension because the Arab man's taxed earned income in 2011 and 2012, when he had a permit, corresponded to SEK 12,700 and SEK 12,500 per month, respectively, which was far below the salary stated in the job offer. >

This, together with the fact that compulsory insurance had been paid in only afterwards and that the Arabs' stay in Sweden had been illegal for many years, led the court to conclude that the employment with the employer “cannot be regarded as serious”.
