The advent of mobility electric is offering the possibility; to create particular concepts that try to imagine how it could become more & ugrave; sustainable the world of transport. The Solar Team made up of 22 students from the University & agrave; Tecnologica from Eindhoven has created Stella Vita , a real camper that is also recharged thanks to solar energy. A concept that & egrave; took to the road to demonstrate how it is really possible to travel in a more effective way; sustainable.
The students have in fact organized a trip of about 3,000 km from Eindhoven, Holland, to Tarifa, Spain, where Solar Vita would be powered only thanks to the energy produced by the Sun The tour & egrave; left on 19 September and is & egrave; concluded on 15 October. The departure is; been a while unfortunate: due to some technical unforeseen circumstances, the camper had to be towed. Once the problems are resolved, & egrave; been able to travel about 2,000 km powered only by the energy of the Sun without any problem.
The idea behind this project is; obviously that of sensitizing people to mobility; more sustainable. In any case, & egrave; also a good result from a technical point of view. Is not serious; however, the first solar-powered vehicle that the Eindhoven Solar Team builds. Some alumni founded in 2016 Lightyear , a company & agrave; that is developing a car that we talked about more times and that & egrave; also powered by solar energy.
The main objective is; truly inspire people, the market and society to accelerate the transition to a brighter future sustainable. What we are trying to do is show people and companies what we & ograve; that & egrave; already possible now.
UP TO 730 KM OF AUTONOMY

With the roof raised & egrave; It is also possible to extract additional solar panels that allow for a total area of 17.5 square meters (8.8 square meters with the roof down). The battery is of 60 kWh and allows an autonomy of up to 600 km which becomes approximately 730 km thanks to the energy produced by the panels in optimal conditions.
A complete recharge with the vehicle stationary, using only the solar panels, takes 2-3 days . In the event of an emergency, however, the accumulator can be supplied with energy by a normal column. The team traveled around 300km between each stage during the tour. Stella Vita reaches a speed; maximum of 120 km/h, measures 7.2 meters in length and weighs 1,700 kg.
