The company contacted people who did not meet the banks' requirements to take out mortgages and took payment when the mortgage was paid out. According to the indictment, SEK 100,000 per mortgage has been a regular price. This corresponds to the increase in the value of an average home in Stockholm over three weeks during the past year, when the Riksbank pushed up house prices to new record levels with newly created money.

– In general, they do not live up to the banks' credit requirements. Then they take help to get a mortgage. Many of them are Russian-speaking, says Nils Råby, chamber prosecutor at the Swedish Environmental Crime Agency in Stockholm to SvD.
