The participating heads of state and government – in addition to host Stefan Löfven himself – are Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Finnish President Sauli Niinistö.

Otherwise, it is mostly ambassadors who are present as representatives.

Not even Israeli President Isaac Herzog chose to visit Malmö but participates in the link. French President Emmanuel Macron has contented himself with sending a pre-recorded video greeting, writes SVT.

“International Forum for the Remembrance of the Holocaust and against anti-Semitism” will be held in Malmö on Wednesday. According to the government, the forum will address four themes: “Remembrance of the Holocaust, education about the Holocaust, anti-Semitism on social media and the fight against anti-Semitism and other forms of racism”.

The government has described the forum as a “high-level forum” and has been preparing the event intensively for two years.
