Volkswagen added that in the first half & agrave; by 2021, strong demand for vehicles from the ID family has enabled it to become the market leader in the electric vehicle segment in Europe. In August, the ID.3 & egrave; was the most electric car popular in many markets including Germany, UK, Ireland, Austria and Switzerland.

To meet the strong demand for electric vehicles, the production lines in Zwickau and Dresden leave every day 1,200 cars. The future of the ID.3 & egrave; even beyond the borders of the Old Continent. As already we know, the electric will be launched in the autumn also on the Chinese market. The production & egrave; already started at the Anting plant. Thanks to the success of its electrification strategy, Volkswagen aims to ensure that by 2030 70% of all its sales in Europe are battery-powered. In North America and China, the sales share of electric vehicles is expected to be at least 50%. Volkswagen intends to launch at least one new electric model per year.
