He's the suspected bomber

A 55-year-old immigrant who is now named Mark Lorentzon but was born as Maciej Gumkowski in Gdansk, Poland, is the suspected perpetrator who is being hunted for the explosion on Övre Husargatan in Gothenburg. Later, a large police operation was carried out in connection with Lorentzon, who is still at large and on Thursday was alleged to have threatened to bomb a health center.

Lorentzon was recently charged with harassing and chasing a person in a managerial position at his mother's nursing home.

The mother was also on the lease for the apartment that Lorentzon lived in at Övre Husargatan 20.

He lived at the same address in 1980, but has since lived at several addresses and moved to his mother's apartment again. The bailiff was to evict him from the apartment on the same day as the explosion occurred there. His income consisted of social benefits.

According to the indictment for harassment, a conflict arose over the coronary restrictions when the nursing home where the mother lived, which Lorentzon refused to accept. Among other things, he tried to climb in to his mother by using garden furniture outside the nursing home.

– I feel sorry for him. He repeats the same things as a mantra. In the beginning, I wanted to hear more about what happened and so on, but I never got any clarity in that, says a relative at the nursing home in a police interrogation.

Lorentzon was described by investigators in connection with the incident at the nursing home as “a bit of a right holder ”.
