iPhone 13 teardown

We are still waiting for the extensive teardown of iFixit, but those who can't wait can already admire the renewed TrueDepth system and the smaller Taptic Engine. These photos provide the first glimpse inside the iPhone 13. Friday the first devices will arrive at people who have reserved one, but a few people have already got their hands on one. Like rumored Sonny Dickson, who has sourced photos of the iPhone 13's components. The Taptic Engine has shrunk this year, presumably to make room for the battery. The operating time of all four models has therefore improved considerably.

The larger battery can also be seen in the photos. In the standard iPhone 13, the battery is 15% larger, taking it from 10.78 Watt-hours to 12.41 Watt-hours in capacity. The fact that the device lasts longer is also due to the fact that the A15 Bionic chip is more economical.

The notch has been reduced by 20% and the photos show that Apple has now moved the front camera to the left, while the infrared camera and dot projector are now on the right. Furthermore, the ear speaker has been moved further up, so that the notch could be smaller.
