Safari has received many new features in macOS Monterey and iOS 15. On the Mac, the tab design has been given a major makeover. The tabs are part of the address bar and the top part also changes color with the design of the website. But macOS Monterey isn't out yet. Still, you can already try the improvements with Safari 15 for macOS Big Sur and macOS Catalina.

If you can't get used to the new tabs after installing the update, you can change the display of Safari tabs. You can choose between a compact view, where the tabs are on the same line as the address bar, or the separate view. If you prefer a design more similar to Safari 14, choose Separate.

The tab groups are also new in Safari 15. This allows you to combine multiple tabs with each other. For example, think of a series of tabs for your work or a collection of tabs for private. These tab groups also sync with the iPhone and iPad in iOS 15.
